This pattern was made when I realized how much stationery I had just lying around. I wanted something simple to hold them all till I needed them. The pictures above show the bag working as intended and doing a good job. The bag itself is highly customizable using embroidery or pattern dyed yarn. To keep the bag closed you can used a large button or a safety eye of size 30mm, like I did. While I like more foldable for storage when not used and to allow it to stretch when a lot of stuff is put into it, you can cut out cardboard to used as a stabilizer for the bag; you will need to make another panel to sew to the first to keep the cardboard in place however. You should also make another panel if you are going to embroider designs on to the bag to make sure that nothing gets caught. You will be working in rows, and I find it helpful to have both a ruler and several stitch markers to help with counting; the stitch markers are also useful for sewing the bag together. If you want you can also make a strap to make it easier to carry.
