Description
Description
This is a cozy sweater with unique color work on the sleeves. You can work the body either in a front and back panel with seams or in the round, separating at the armpits to then work flat. The sleeves are picked up and knitted flat, with the color work added using duplicate stitch before seaming the sleeves.
The sweater calls for one main color and a small amount of a contrasting color for the sleeve details.
For this sweater I knit with Lion Brand’s Wool Ease yarn. I used Oxford Grey for my main color and Icicle for my contrasting color.
You will only need a small amount of the contrasting color, so the yardage estimates reflect total yardage.
You can use any color and any yarn that gets you the correct gauge!
You need:
A worsted weight yarn in a main color and contrasting color - I used Lion Brand Wool Ease
Size US 8 circular needles (5mm) for body and sleeves
Size US 6 circular needles (4mm) (for sleeve cuffs and collar)
* Optional double pointed needles US 6/4mm for collar if you prefer dpns over magic loop
A set of stitch markers
Scrap yarn or spare needles
A tapestry needle
The body of the sweater is done without shaping, so measure from the largest part of your torso if this is not your bust. This pattern was written with 2" of positive ease built in.
XS(S, M, L, XL)(1XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL) to fit a bust circumference of 28(32, 36, 40, 44) (48, 52, 56, 60) in or 71(81, 91, 101, 111)(121, 131, 141, 151) cm
Approx. yardage
720(770, 820, 890, 960)(1200, 1350, 1440)
