Halloween has always been my favorite holiday. Growing up, we would get blizzards on or before Halloween. To counter this, my mom would make costumes for my brother and me that were two sizes too big so we could wear our snowsuits under them to stay warm. Some Halloween's were so cold here in Edmonton that my mom would have to drive her car alongside us, so we had a place to warm up when it was -25°C out.

While I don't go out trick-or-treating anymore, dang, adulthood, Halloween is still my favorite. We hand out candy to the cute kids, I scare Curt with horror movies, and we binge on candy all night long.

Worked in the round, Strange Magic contains both cuff-down and toe-up written directions and a chart for the pattern stitch. The pattern has instructions for an afterthought heel, but you may substitute whatever heel you enjoy using.

The pattern is written for the magic loop method for knitting socks; however, the design could be worked on double-pointed needles or mini-circulars instead should you prefer.
