Description
Not only is this an adorable crochet piece, it is also a functional bag. The bag is able to close because it has buttons on one side that slide right between the stitches. It incorporates different techniques such as the basket weave stitch and amigurumi. This pattern is for the intermediate crocheter.
I recommend Lily Sugar N Cream yarn for the basket portion of this bag. It holds the shape nicely and it takes 1 skein of the Super Size to make the bag. I have used the color Jute but you may use any color. As for the other yarns, I have used Big Twist Value acrylic but you can substitute this for any acrylic worsted weight yarn.
