My most popular pattern the "Summer Solstice Tee" is back with a new twist! The Summer Solstice Tee Volume 2 is an upgrade from the original pattern that incorporates new lace detailing in the circular yoke. Stripes of 3 different lace patterns are featured throughout the yoke of the tee. This tee is perfect for layering over tank tops and other tops during the warmer months. It is knit top-down and in the round. The open gauge of this piece is thanks to the US 10 needles used throughout and makes for a perfect, trendy top.

Skill Level: Advanced

Needles: US 10 circular needles. Choose a cable length that is several inches smaller than the finished bust measurement for your size.

Sizes: 1(2, 3, 4)(5, 6, 7)(8, 9, 10)

Finished Measurements: 32(36, 40, 44)(48, 52, 56)(60, 64, 68)" bust circumference. This design is designed ot fit with 2-4" of positive ease. Therefore, choose a size that is 2-4" larger than your actual bust measurement.

Yarn: Knit Picks Hawthorne Fingering Weight (357 yds/100 g) in Northstar Kettle Dye. About 300(350, 400, 460)(520, 580, 640)(710, 800, 890) yds required.

Gauge: 14 sts x 20 rnds = 4" (10 cm)

Sl1-GSR Slip 1 stitch purlwise with yarn in front, pull the working yarn to the back to show both legs of the stitch to create a double stitch for German short rows (as you work short rows, you may want to mark these stitches with a stitch marker to help you keep track of where they are).

DWK Double wrap knit. Knit 1 stitch, wrapping yarn twice around the needle. Insert right needle into stitch as if to knit. Next, wrap yarn around right needle twice. Next, pull through the loop as if to knit. Finally, drop the stitch from the left needle. You should have a double wrapped stitch.
PD Purl drop. Purl and drop extra wrap
SSP Slip the next 2 sts one at a time knitwise, return them one at a time to left needle, purl both sts together through the back loop
PSSO pass slipped stitch on the right needle over the sts you just knit
