The colors in this cozy remind me of tide pools at the end of summer evenings, dark water, shifting blue-green waves, and little shells tucked between the rocks waiting to be noticed. The fan stitches ripple across the surface like moving water, while the spiral shell decorations add those tiny treasure-like details that make the whole piece feel playful and seaside-inspired without losing that calm, cozy mood.

This pattern has an easy rhythm once the waves begin to form. Fans, arches, color shifts, then another row rolling in behind it. The layered handle loops keep the cozy secure around the mug, but they also ended up becoming one of my favorite details visually, almost like little rope ties on something found near the shore. Altogether it feels textured, ocean-like, and relaxing to work on.
