Description
As a crochet designer, I often have to think and come up with designs that are easy enough to translate over text, yet that are wearable and fun to crochet. I think I've succeeded at this with most of my patterns, but one thing I've been looking to improve upon is my top-down garment designing. If you're not familiar with the concept of top-down construction, it basically means that you begin at the top of the garment, and work additional rows or rounds to make it longer. There's many benefits to making a garment this way, but one con for me as a designer and eager crocheter is that it involves a lot of planning ahead of time before I even get to touch my yarn and hook. This sweater tested my patience because I couldn't start crocheting immediately with the lovely yarn that was very kindly gifted to me by the team over at Yarnalia, but I am so glad that I planned ahead of time, because working it up was that much more fun! I was able to try on my sweater as I went, and able to customize the length to fit with my favorite pair of high-waisted jeans. All in all, I think this sweater has become one of (if not my absolute) favorite sweaters of all time and I can't wait for you to try it out!
