Description
**THIS IS A FREE PATTERN AND NOT TO BE RESOLD - ALL ARTISTIC STYLES, REPRESENTATIONS AND LIKENESS ARE COPYRIGHT BALATRO & LOCALTHUNK DEVELOPERS.**

Welcome to The Balatro Joker!

I dedicate this project to my partner, whose current obsession is "a rogue-like poker deckbuilding game". 8-Bit style artwork is one of my favourite forms of video game presentation, with other spectacular works such as Stardew Valley, Dave the Diver and Not Tonight, amongst many others.

At first, I was hesitant to publish the pattern and thought to keep it to myself; if there are any others out there who enjoy this game as much as my partner and I do, then this is my gift to you. If you end up creating this pattern, I would love to see your results.

There are so many fantastic Joker styles in the game, but today we will make the classic +4 Multiplier Joker.

As far as tools required, there is not much left to say, however I shall list some general tips and recommendations below when creating this as a tapestry crochet project.

Since there will be rows with multiple changes between your two colours, I would HIGHLY recommend using the floating method for this and all tapestry pieces. CaitsCrochetCottage has a fantastic video explaining the method, which is linked in the pattern below.

Materials
Yarns
- X2 of any colour worsted weight yarn (4mm). I would recommend you select two high contrasting colours to achieve a more defined end result of your work.
Hooks
- Either a 4mm or 4.5mm size crochet hook. A slightly larger hook will help with practicing tension if you are concerned about your stitches becoming too tight.
Accessories
- Yarn scissors or anything to cut with! - Optional stitch markers (if you would like to mark your start and end stitches as you work each row).
