Description
Hello!
This jumbo handknit sweater was born out of my desire to find the chunkiest knit sweater ever. In the dead of winter its easy to get caught up in dangerous mental spaces, and creativity with fiber art has been one of the few things keeping me going in the past few years. Ive always worked with chunky yarn, but after much inspiration from Hope Macaulay and a desire to stay warm without irritating my eczema on scratchier wools, I figured why couldnt I combine chunky knit blankets with jumbo knit sweaters? Thus the Cloud Sweater and its sisters were born in winter of 2021!
The techniques are simple; with knowledge of how a knit garment works, how to seam together two arms and a body to make a sweater, and very basic hand sewing skills, youll be able to recreate this sweater to your specific (and personalized) size in under 5 hours!
Before we get started, heres some more things youll need to know: The model in the pictures below is wearing a size small, and the sweater fits with some positive ease. I recommend doing the swatch to get a feel for how tight the stitches will be.

Level of difficulty: beginner/intermediate

Sizing: This sweater is written for a size S, but includes suggested measurements and instructions for sizes XS to XL as well. It should have a classic fit with a few inches positive ease; it should fit comfortably, and a little larger than your bust measurement. Note: this pattern is written with women's sizing charts, but since the sweater itself isn't fitted, this pattern is friendly for men and androgynous body types. Please see the sizing charts pictured for more information.

Care Instructions:
-Place in a pillowcase tie off, and wash cold with like colors
-Gentle cycle
-Lay flat to dry in a space with good ventilation
-Reshape as needed
