Description
My favorite spot to knit at is the large picture window in my living room, and through it I get a perfect view of the chain of mountains that envelop the little valley I live in. I love these mountains, especially in the fall when they're dotted with the red and gold of the maples and aspens that cover its ridges. The Cordillera Shawl is a little like a love letter to these mountain, and my home.

With the a stitch pattern that perfectly matches these mountains on the horizon, this shawl is large and made out of worsted weight yarn--exactly what you need during the cold and snowy winter here. Measuring at 100 inches/254 cm along the longest, this shawl can be used easily as an oversized scarf, wrap, or even a blanket.

The shawl is an asymmetrical triangle design. It starts with a unique rib design that becomes the pointed mountain tops. The pattern includes instructions for reducing (or increasing) the size of the shawl.
