The Gambit: Travel Chess/Checkers Set is a portable chess set with a board that doubles as a bag for your pieces!

The board/bag is knit modularly in stockinette, one square at a time. The back is added once the board is done and the zipper is sewn in last. The pieces are knit in stockinette, shapes added with duplicate stitch, and then seamed together to maintain shape and to double as a checkers set! Lastly, the strap is knit in garter stitch.
