This pattern is intended for an intermediate crochet skill level (or an advanced beginner). This dress was designed and debuted in the Hamptons, a beachy seaside community and popular summer destination in Long Island New York, hence the name! The dress itself is very lacey and delicate. It is beautifully detailed and has a summery yet couture look. The pattern can be modified for a crop top, mini or floor length dress! Some measuring is involved to ensure a perfectly custom fit. I do highly recommend a cotton yarn since this dress doesnt require much stretch, and cotton will help keep the shape. **Dress will be slightly sheer if recommended hook and yarn are used. For more coverage, use a smaller hook or thicker yarn, however this will affect the gauge for certain sections and might need to be adjusted accordingly**
