This is a perfect project for a confident beginner, as you need basic materials and you only need to basic stitches.

The used stitches are:
- magic ring
- chain
- slip stitch
- single crochet
- double crochet
- treble crochet
- picot stitch (explained in pattern)

I recommend you to use fine/sport weight yarn, but the pattern consists of two different rows, which means you can make the bandana as long as you like, using the yarn weight you like. Use a crochet hook that is recommended for the yarn you are using. Besides yarn and a hook, you will need a tool to cut your yarn (I use scissors), a darning needle (to weave in your ends) and I recommend you to block this project, although this is up to you and not necessary (eg the first and second picture show the bandana's which are not blocked).
