Description
Create a light, elegant shawl with a beautiful picot edge using The Picot Shawl crochet pattern. This design features a rhythmic combination of repeating sections (amazing if you are looking for a relaxing project), airy stitchwork (cute for wearing all year long), and a delicate picot border that gives the shawl its refined finish. Perfect as a statement accessory for all seasons!
This pattern is designed to be fully customizable in size: simply repeat the sections until your shawl reaches the length you love.
I would recommend you to be an intermediated crocheter, as the used stitches are a magic ring, chain, slip stitch, single crochet, double crochet, treble crochet and the picot stitch. The instructions are written in American crochet terms.
The instructions include pictures to support you throughout the pattern, and a stitch count table to easily check if you are right on track.
Because the shawl is made to measure, you can use fine, light, or medium weight yarn for this project. I used 160 grams = 544 meters of 8/4 cotton (4-ply, 100% cotton). You will also need a matching crochet hook that suits your yarn choice, scissors to cut your yarn and a darning needle to weave in ends.
This shawl is part of The Picot Series: check out the other Picot Patterns I designed:)
The pattern is for personal use; finished items may be gifted, but the pattern itself may not be redistributed. Please tag me on social media when you show off your finished piece (@ConsciousCrochetCreation! You can also message me on there to ask any questions.
