Welcome to my very first independent crochet design! This unique granny square was born out of a love for rich, plush textures and beautifully clean geometry.

The project begins with a radiant, floral inspired sunburst center, packed with cozy puff stitches that give the piece a wonderful three dimensional depth. From there, the circle seamlessly and smartly transforms into a crisp, structural square. By introducing strategic front post stitches in the later rounds, the design creates a gorgeous, defined frame that perfectly sets off the detailed center.

It is an incredibly engaging project to crochet, with zero boring rows, making it the perfect pattern for using up beautiful scraps or creating a cohesive, multi-coloured masterpiece. You can of course block your square if you feel so inclined, when you finish to get it looking very crisp and neat.
