And don't worry about the seam-covered zipper! In the video sewing instructions, Juliana shows you step by step how to sew a zipper. Sew the A-line summer dress from a light denim or linen fabric, for example. The flared, flowing skirt falls most beautifully when you also choose a soft, flowing fabric.

-light to medium weight, flowing fabric without or with little elastane, e.g. cotton denim or linen with a fabric width of at least 140cm (1.5yd):
XS-S: 310cm (3.39yd) | M-L: 320cm (3.5yd) | XL-XXL: 330cm (3.61yd) | XXXL: 335cm (3.66yd)
-an invisible zipper with a length of 60cm (24in)
-Interfacing for ironing on, e.g. H200 with a width of at least 90cm (1yd): XS-XXXL: 40cm (0.44yd)
-matching sewing thread
-Sewing machine with sewing needle suitable for fabric thickness and presser foot for seam concealed zippers and presser foot for normal zippers
Tip:We use a lightweight cotton denim made from 100% cotton with a weight of 130g/sqm for the A-line dress pattern The Rory Dress.
