Description
The Traveling Vines Tank is a delicate but durable garment designed with airy lacework in cotton yarn that is perfect for the heat of summer . It has a classic fit with no shaping. The twelve row/round repeated lacework is easily attainable for the ambitious maker.

Pattern begins with a rolled hem, working in the round until splitting for armholes when you will work the front and back panels flat, meaning you will turn for every row. To complete, you will seam shoulders using the three-needle bind-off technique. For a finished look, you will continue working neckline sts and pick up armhole sts to match the bottom hem. Pattern is designed with 2" of positive ease for a classic fit. Amount of positive ease will depend on where you fall within the size range: model is 53" with 34" bust, wearing size S.

More details on gauge:

Reference Body R7-18 for lace pattern

This tutorial may save you some time in swatching in the round. Because the lace includes YOs, try adding 2-4 knit sts at the beginning and end - https://youtu.be/ZzC6N4SGhos

Use your choice of cast on. Sample was made using a long tail cast on with two needles for a loose edge: https://youtu.be/_Z9cP9b9uQM

It is helpful to loosely bind off by using a larger needle size or Jenys Surprisingly Stretchy Bind Off to make the arm & neck holes wearable.

Double Pointed Needles are only needed to seam shoulders, using the three-needle bind-off technique. Reference tutorial to get familiar with this technique: https://youtu.be/Ph93jWSzTa0

Highly recommend Patty Lyonss one move slip slip knit: https://youtu.be/GXBSmedZXfY and slip slip purl: https://youtu.be/38q5l2g77SI

Reference tutorial to learn knitting through the back loop: https://youtu.be/1gwR-JIkK6k and backwards loop cast on: https://youtu.be/ojOU7Bco4dM

When wrong side and right sides are referenced, this means the knit stitch texture is the right side and the purl bump texture is the wrong side.

To customize body length, add or subtract lace pattern (body rounds 7-18) for every 2" desired before separating for armholes
