This top has a sexy, elegant V-neck and the stitches alternate, creating a texture that follows that V-neck throughout the front of the body. It is worked flat, with a front panel and back panel. That creates a left and right seam along the sides of the body.

The top has 2-5" of positive ease. There is no waist shaping and I chose to leave the hem open.

This top is made in Tunisian Purl stitch and Tunisian Knit stitch.
The first loop on the hook and the edge stitch each count as stitches.
To place a stitch marker in the centremost stitch helps to know where the "direction" of the pattern changes.

Level: adventurous beginner to intermediate

Gauge is very important for the correct fit of the garment, make sure you meet gauge with whatever size hook you need to use. Block your swatch, let it dry and then measure.
Gauge is 13 sts x 13 rows for a 4" x 4" (10cm x 10cm) square in pattern, as a flat square, blocked.
