Description
The Twisted Oak Toque is a medium sized hat designed with the intermediate knitter in mind. Four cable trees and braids twist their way up the body of the toque to give it its name. This hat is designed to fit the average sized head and can be made with either worsted or aran yarn.

This pattern can be worked solely on double pointed needles if desired, but it is easier starting off with circular needles until Row 28 or so on the chart. If you are using DPNs, you will need to shuffle your stitches at Row 33 to where it is possible to perform the required decreases on Row 34. Other techniques, such as magic loop, may eliminate the need for dpns altogether. As always with cable work, cable needles are not strictly required, but they make the 2/2/2 RCs and 2/1/2 RPCs far easier to manage.

My patterns are free, but if you want to support my work, I do accept tips. Only do so if you are in a financially viable position to do so.

I would also like to extend a special thank you to my wonderful tester, Xcecility, who caught several mistakes I made along the way!
