This striped waffle stitch stroller blanket was designed out of necessity for babies who love to kick blankets off.

Two horizontal slits allow the blanket to be threaded through a stroller, swing, or car seat crotch strap, helping it stay in place without adding extra bulk under the harness. The result is a secure, practical blanket that still feels soft and cozy.

While this pattern uses a waffle stitch for texture and warmth, the construction method can be adapted to other stitch patterns if desired.

Turning Chain Note:
This pattern is worked without turning chains. The first stitch of each row is worked directly into the first stitch after turning, creating a cleaner, straighter edge.
(If you prefer, you may CH 2 for height only; this chain does not count as a stitch.)
