This is an easy pattern great for beginners. You need to be comfortable working in the round and confident with single, double, and half-double crochet stitches. You should also be confident with changing colours.

One thing I did do that is slightly strange is that I used a 6mm hook to work with two skeins of yarn simultaneously, instead of investing in some thicker yarn.
