A beginner/intermediate knitting pattern for a cropped top with a wave pattern
This pattern is knitted flat from the bottom up, using a colour chart and intarsia to create the wave pattern and decreasing for the arm and neck holes.
Written for Sizes: XS (S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL), To fit a bust circumference of 70-75 (80-85, 90-95, 100-105, 110-115, 120-125, 130-135) cm. The garment is knitted to fit the bust then drape straight down to fit loose around the waist.
NOTE: sizes 2XL and 3XL have not yet been tested. If you are interested in test knitting one of these sizes, please reach out to me! I will send you the pattern in exchange for test knitting and feedback.
Gauge (10x10cm or 4x4 inches; washed and blocked):
Stockinette: 22 stitches x 27 rows
Suggested Yarn: A cotton DK weight yarn
Any yarn that achieves gauge can be used.
150 (150, 200, 250, 250, 300, 350) g of cotton yarn (50g=95m)
Possible Yarn Options:
4 Seasons Brighton Cotton yarn
4 Seasons Flinders Cotton yarn
Lincraft 8ply Cotton yarn
Bernat Softee Cotton
Kremke Soul Wool
Needles and Notions:
