Description
The Winter to Spring Bias Wrap is a simple but engaging project designed to help you (and your wardrobe!) through the seasonal transition. Spring is my favorite season, and I love the way the six colors of this wrap transition from the muted whites and grays of winter to the cheerful green, pink, and yellow of spring. Made in a cotton/linen blend and incorporating openwork, the Winter to Spring Bias Wrap is not too heavy for sunny spring days outside, but each of the three sizes is still big enough to wrap around you when you need a little extra comfort.
Though the pattern is a two-row repeat, it incorporates some interesting techniques and is worked on the bias. Using a double strand of DK weight yarn helps this wrap fly off your hook, and alternating the color changes gives each section a distinct look while allowing them to transition nicely from one to the next. Chunky, playful tassels adorn each end, displaying the colors of the two seasons.
Sizes: Scarf - 12 x 61", Shawl - 20 x 70", Blanket Wrap - 24 x 102". This pattern is highly customizable for length, width, and number of colors. There is an entire page of the pattern dedicated to tips for customization!
Level: Advanced beginner to intermediate. Uses dc2tog and fpdc.
I’d love to see your makes! Post on Instagram with the hashtags #wintertospringwrap and #clairdelunefiberart (tag me @clairdelunefiberart)!
Due to the nature of digital patterns, I cannot offer any refunds on them. If you have any issues with this pattern, please email me at clairdelunefiberart@gmail.com and I’ll do whatever I can to help!
