Nine characters based on those from the classic children's story book written in 1900 by Frank Baum (now in the public domain). As the characters are based on the written story you will notice several features specific to the original story such as Dorothy's silver shoes. Included are Dorothy, Toto, Scarecrow, Tin Man, Lion, Wizard, Wicked Witch of the West, Flying Monkey and Glinda the Good Witch.

This is an intermediate level pattern, some crochet knowledge of basic stitches is required. Not recommended for complete beginners, but the 60-page pattern does include step by step instructions and pictures to help you.

Using the materials suggested the characters measure between 8cm and 23cm tall. Any yarn can be used with this pattern with an appropriate size crochet hook to create a tight tension, although other yarns may affect the size of the finished bag. Suggested materials: Crochet Society Confection DK (Light 3) 100% acrylic yarn, 2.75mm crochet hook, and toy stuffing.
