Description
Description
Make some adorable decorative Easter egg covers with this pattern! Instructions include patterns for a frog, a deer (who says deer aren't pink?!), a bear, a bunny, a fox, a mushroom, and a flower! Make a bunch of them in different colors to cover a full dozen (or more) eggs. The egg stands in the photos are just strips of cardstock covered with washi tape, then shaped into a circle & taped on the back side.
Pattern level: advanced (or ambitious) beginner. Must be comfortable sewing on small pieces, working in the round, embroidering facial features, and changing colors. You must also already be familiar with applying pastels to blush your pieces, I don't include a tutorial on how to do so, I only show you where to apply.
Sizes included: one size, will fit standard size L eggs or smaller
Materials needed:
- worsted (weight 4) yarn in lots of colors. A great project to use up scrap yarn!
- 3.5mm hook
- yarn needle
- optional: chalk pastels and qtips/paint brushes
