To make Yo-ho-ho Patchwork Sweater you will need: You will need around 40 meters of DK/light worsted-weight yarn for each of the patches (this is an overestimation which takes into account enough yarn for tail ends for a secure weaving). The number of colors will depend on which patches you end up making and how many. Each patch contains a list of the used colors, the yarn brand and color code I used, and the approximate yardage per color within each patch, but I also list out the total approximate yardage per color used to give you an idea of how much yarn you would need per color if you were to fully replicate the sweater I made (by creating one patch of each of the colorwork patches, plus 9 plain patches). Brands used: I used a combination of Paintbox yarns Simply DK (276m, 100g per skein) and Cotton DK (125m, 50g per skein), and Yarn and Colors Amazing DK (310m, 100g per skein). I used leftover skeins I already had for most colors, except the main blue yarn which I used for the background in most patches as well as the sleeves, and the fuchsia yarn which I used for the ribbing of the sweater.If you wish to make the made-to-measure sweater, the amount of yarn you need in total will depend on the size you want the sweater to be.
