Description
This is a no-sew beginner friendly pattern.
Whether you want to make granny or grandpa (yeah that's what Yéyé and nainai (actually this is not the correct spelling of nainai but Ribblr keep deleting the specific accent there is on the first a.) respectfully mean in Chinese. Based on my researches, there is no general word as in French and English -I speak both- to refer to grandparents without differenciating from which side of the family they are so I randomly chose the father's side because I feel like these are easier to keep in mind than the name given to grandparents from the mother's side of the family). If you are Chinese or speak Chinese and think the vocabulary used is wrong plz DM me.
By the way I chose to give these dumplings' pattern Chinese names because it seemed logical to me knowing dumplings are originally from this ethnicity.
Now that I've explained a little bit the lore behind my pattern's denomination, I wanted to clarify that the pattern is the same for both Yéyé and nainai and what will differentiate them will be the colors used, the facial expressions and accessories (example : bows, stars etc).
In this pattern, you'll be able to make them of a keychain size but also a plushie as big as you want, depending on what you are searching for. I would recommend using chenille or blanket yarn for the plushie size and acrylic for the keychain size. You'll find more information in the pattern but already prepare two different colors of yarn . no matter what the size is.
The colors I used in my pattern are just recommendations same goes for the yarn size. I believe every hook and yarn size would work with this.
Do NOT reproduce or copy my pattern in any way! Otherwise you can do makes with it and sell them. You can also make a journal of your work with the photos of you version, I would like to see it !
