Description
Whale, whale, whale, what do we have here ?!
This crochet pattern describes how to crochet an amigurumi whale as shown on pictures. The whale is mostly worked in continuous rounds.
Finished length will be approx. 10,6" (27 cm), crocheted using acrylic yarn (sport weight, thinner type of DK), with hook size C (2.5 mm).
If you wish to make a taller or smaller version of this amigurumi, you can just use thicker or thinner yarn / crochet hook. This pattern is also suitable for wool or cotton yarn.
Gauge is not important for this pattern, just crochet tight enough so the stuffing will not show through the stitches.
Materials used:
- Crochet hook size C (2.5 mm)
- Fiberfill stuffing, safety eyes 7 mm
- Yarn in grey (approx. 50 gr / 200 meter, 220 yards), small amounts of blue and white
- Stitch marker, tapestry needle, pins, optional: blue or grey sewing thread
Stitches used: chain, slip stitch, single crochet, half double crochet, increasing, decreasing
Skill level: advanced beginner
