In honor of EDS awareness month, I am launching a special new friend!
''EDS'' Ehlers-Danlos syndrome affects connective tissue, primarily the skin, joints, and blood vessel walls. Symptoms include overly flexible joints that can dislocate, and skin that's translucent, elastic, and bruises easily. In some cases, there may be dilation and even rupture of major blood vessels."
Ah EDS where to begin, you have made life a living nightmare at some points. Making my joints dislocate just by turning in my sleep to causing my MALS and CCI, making it really hard for me to heal and when I do I scar so bad. You have put me through the wringer but you make me me. I am in no way happy with what I’m going through but it truly has changed me for the better (not the feeling better lol) You have taught me how much is truly unknown I’m medical education. You have taught me compassion towards others going through chronic illness. You have taught me how to live my life every day like it’s my last. I am may not love the life of a zebra but I am one and I’m proud to share my journey with others :)
