I've been crocheting since I was 8, but never wrote down any of the patterns that I have made. Since joining Ribblr, I have been encouraged to start writing them down and sharing them with the community.
The story behind this little guy is kind of strange. My husband and I were out recently shopping for a new mattress. We went into our local mattress store and spoke with this wonderful sales lady. She was so knowledgeable, sweet, and willing to take the time and answer a hundred and one questions from my husband, that I decided to design this little guy as a gift to her for her kindness and help. I hope that you enjoy making this pattern as much as I have in creating him.

22ga. wire is optional for a firmer frame around the mattress top. This is added when the mattress top is crocheted to the side panel. *CAUTION* IF YOU ARE MAKING THIS FOR A SMALL CHILD, EITHER HOT GLUE OR EMBROIDER THE EYES AND DO NOT ADD THE WIRE (*SAFETY HAZZARD*)

I did not use wire for mine.

Stuffing: you can use either regular Polyfil or quilt batting that can be cut to fit and gives a smoother fill. I used quilt batting.
