Description
I've made Pru the penguin and her chick using a super chunky #6 weight yarn. This is ideal for a soft and huggable plush toy and is a quick make - you can make your penguin in a few hours. The penguins can also be made in a smaller weight yarn, with a smaller crochet hook.
The pattern is clear to follow with detailed instructions and lots of pictures for step by step making and assembly. There are also picture instructions for colour change, back loop only and invisible finish.
I've made Pru using super chunky weight yarn and a 5mm (H) crochet hook. She is 9 inches tall and her chick is 7 inches tall.
The following stitches/techniques are used in this pattern: slip stitch, magic ring, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, increase, decrease (sc2tog), colour change, back loop only, invisible finish
(This pattern is for personal use only, not to be resold or rewritten in any way. I am happy for you to sell the finished toy, but please credit the design to me.)
