Now that I've said that we can get to the good stuff lol
This pattern is worked in two pieces so you do need to know how to sew I use invisible decreases which you basically take the front loop of two stitches and pull them together

A couple times in the pattern when I am referring to the Shell of the snail it thinks I'm talking about the shell stitch so just so you know I'm not talking about the shell stitch I'm just talking about the snail shell
