This pattern is made to measure and the final fit is made to be loose and flowing. There are 2 options for the length of the dress. A shorter dress (which I have made), or I have included an extra filet crochet chart if a longer dress is desired. Some cute details of this pattern include a ribbon for the neckline, snowman and tree designs in the chart, and a bottom edge of a contrasting colour.

This dress is perfect for Christmas in the tropics or other warm places because it is so lightweight and breezy. It is my first Christmas in the tropics, so I obviously had to make a dress that would be suitable for this weather. However, that being said, the dress offers various options for layering and therefore could also be worn in a colder climate if layered with warmer clothes.

Filet Crochet is a method of crocheting which involves either full or empty boxes of double crochet. This type of crocheting is very easy for beginners who have only mastered the basic stitches. The result is subtle yet stunning. If you haven't tried it yet, I would 100% recommend :)
