Description
This is a bottom-up knit using Fisherman's rib for the main body of the pullover with some edging and accents knitted in 1x1 rib stitch. The main body - front and back panels are knitted with Sostrene & Grene Bamboo mix held together with Sostrene & Grene Mohair. The neck panel is knitted with a combination of these two yarns plus Rico Creative Cotton, in black.
Start with the back panel to get into the rhythm before working on to the slightly more detailed front panel and finish with the neck band.
The exact amounts of yarn used are:
6.22 balls Sostrene & Grene Bamboo mix 310g - 777.5 m
3.64 balls Sostrene & Grene Mohair 91g 777 m
0.66 ball Rico creative cotton black 30g 56.1 m
Yarn Alternatives:
7 balls of Isager Soft (56% Alpaca and 44% Organic Cotton) can be substituted for Sostrene & Grene Bamboo mix and the paired second yarn (Sostrene & Grene Mohair). A second mohair yarn is not required as Isager soft has enough volume, colour variation, and haze on it's own.
Looking for your own alternative? Focus on comparable length and composition.
Techniques: Long-tail rib cast on, 1x1 rib, Slip stitch edging, and Fisherman's rib
